Fed up with the job market not serving the community and the amount of waste we use, a Kansas City resident decides to put on a cape, and take the streets as a super hero to address something important. Recycling! With their recycle bin and cape, Misty Ballew (also known as KC Earth Kid) advocates by setting an example by collecting recycling around the Kansas City area. Misty also does outreach through social media and manages recycling at White Hall Condominiums. Misty hopes to enlighten people that we need to make Earth our number one priority again. Plastic and other waste is destroying our planet, and any way we can lighten the burden is a victory. Misty dreams of finding a career, and in sustainability, but until then, KC EarthKid will continue advocating.
